In the midst of the ever-changing environment brought on by COVID-19, we are fortunate that The IOC Construction Company has been designated as essential and has continued to stay open and operational.
As we all learn more about COVID-19, we will continue to make the health and safety of our employees, clients, and communities our greatest priority and primary focus.
Estimates and Inspections
IOC Construction Representatives Safety Protocols
- Onsite inspections will be limited to parties of 10 or fewer
- Protective masks will be worn while in the presence of others
- Social distancing will be practiced at all times
- Touching of surfaces (door handles, substrates to be inspected, etc.) will be limited to what is required to enter and properly assess the request
- If entering personal units new shoe covers will be used to prevent cross contaminates entering the unit
- Touchless measuring tools (lasers, measuring wheels, etc.) will be utilized to help limit personal contact
- Virtual meetings will be scheduled in lieu of in-person meetings when at all possible.
Production Safety Protocols and Onsite Expectations
Expanded Onsite Sanitation with Daily Health Assessments
- Available Handwashing Stations with Mandatory Washing Schedules
- Daily Temperature Checks (under 100.4 degrees in order to stay onsite – Per CDC)
- Monitored Physical Signs of Illness; Coughing, Sneezing, Fatigue etc.
- Twice daily, Work-site sanitation using a CDC approved disinfectant for COVID-19
PPE – Personal Protective Equipment (in addition to standard safety gear)
- Interior workers will always be outfitted with Respirators and/or CDC approved masks
Social Distancing and Communication
- Staggered start times, breaks, lunches, total number of people onsite and pre-established production routes will be put in place to keep people safely apart
- Limit unnecessary onsite contact between workers and outside service providers
- Ensure everyone onsite has a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and that health and safety is essential
COVID Exposure and Positive Testing
Exposure to COVID
- If a member of our staff or crews have been exposed to someone with COVID they will not be allowed to return to work or the jobsite
- Said person will be required to then self-quarantine for 14 days or until they can provide negative test results
Testing Positive for COVID
- If a member of our staff or crews test positive for COVID they will not be allowed to return to work or the jobsite.
- Said person will be required to self-quarantine for 14 days.
- All of those who had been in contact with said person will be notified.
- All parties who were in contact will be required to quarantine for 14 days and or until they can provide negative test results.
- Upon completion of the 14 day self-quarantine said person who had tested positive will need to provide negative test results in order to return to work and the jobsite.
- Onsite work will be evaluated on a case by case basis and production stopped if multiple members of the crew and or onsite staff have been exposed.
