In addition to new track lighting, wallpaper replacement, carpeting installation and renovation of the entry’s front desk the project included custom staining wall panels. The panels to be stained had been bleached by the sun causing severe fading.

The veneer of the panels was very thin limiting the techniques our team was able to use to refinish the surface. We could not completely sand down the current coating to bare wood so we had to create multiple custom stains in order to make the faded sections feather into areas that were unaffected by the sun.

Once the custom staining trials were complete and we found the perfect matches our team top coated the panels with a UV stable spar varnish to create a uniform finish.
